Stretch Mark Removal

Micro-Needling

Until recently Micro-Needling has been a costly practice requiring visiting a specialist; however Microneedling is now common procedure in most average house holds. The Derma-Roller is a easy to use device with many sterilized microscopic needles which, as they are rolled over the epidermis, gently separate the pores of the epidermis (top layer of skin) and activate the healing process increasing the production of collagen and elastin.

Collagen is necessary for skin to cosmetically heal

It is this additional collagen and elastin that makes all the difference, the main cause of the development of skin conditions such as stretch marks and wrinkles is a lack of collagen and elastin in the skin, when this is replaced the skin goes back to its smooth and firm state. When the skin gets injured, such as a graze, the skin repairs itself to remain healthy; however the skin doesn’t recognise that scars are undesirable.

For scarring, stretchmarks and Wrinkles to be removed, the skin needs to believe that there is reason to start the healing process and produce more collagen and elastin, using a Derma roller achieves this by opening the pores of the top layer of skin giving the impression of a trauma on the skin and in need of repair. Repeating the process of Microneedling will make sure that you skin heals itself to a cosmetic level.

Is Skin Needling the best option?

Compared to other methods (and when done at home), Micro Needling is much more cost effective and better then methods such as just using creams as the skin absorbes only a tiny percentage of creams applied, however when applied within an hour of using the Dermaroller the creams are absorbed significantly better as the pores are open.

Microneedling is used to remove an array of skin conditions; Stretch marks, Cellulite, Wrinkles, pitted skin, acne scars, surgery scars, scars, crow’s feet etc
